Mark Nagel is a Principal at Epiphany Advisors, a public sector advisory firm, based in San Francisco. Mark was previously an investment banker at ThinkEquity in San Francisco, and he earlier served as the CEO of HeartScan, a life sciences services company in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mark worked in London as a venture capitalist with Doughty Hanson & Co. and as an investment banker in Merrill Lynch’s M&A department. In the early 1990s, Mark worked for a year in Moscow as a financial consultant to the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. Mark received his Ph.D. in political science from Harvard, his J.D. from Harvard Law School, and his B.A. in government and economics from Georgetown.
