Brian Scally
Brian Scally has been involved in the creative industries for most of his life. A native of Cork, he attended Dublin City University, attaining a Bachelors in Business Studies (BBS) and a Masters Degree in Marketing (MBS).
He went on to establish Milestone Music Management which he still operates to this day, and in recent years he co-founded and is currently CEO of Paragon Music Group, an independent music company which works with creatives and entertainment companies across the globe, with a strong emphasis on music for Film, TV and Games. Paragon is a distribution and marketing partner of Downtown Music Group.
He has travelled regularly on business to the US and over the last 20 years has built a vast network of connections there, not just in the entertainment industry but far more broadly. He is deeply invested in developing connections between Ireland and The US and has been a solid supporter of The US-Ireland Alliance and The Mitchell Scholars since his first meeting with Trina Vargo in 2012. He also spends quite a lot of time in Northern Ireland and is very interested in both the history and the future of that region.
Brian is also a Founding Board Member of The Association of Independent Music (AIM) Ireland, is a mentor on the Minding Creative Minds programme, and has previously acted as a mentor on Keychange’s European programme for women and gender-expansive artists and innovators.
In his spare time, he helps to fundraise for charities such as Dublin Simon Community and Breakthrough Cancer Research, and is a dedicated volunteer/ mentor in his local GAA club where his children play.
